Sandra Hawkins is an interdisciplinary visual and media artist living in Ottawa. Her paintings are shown in galleries and exhibitions across Canada and internationally. Her contemporary art practice includes video and photo-based installation art, also considered by the artist to be landscapes that investigate the human-environmental interface.

Sandra has a Masters in Environmental Studies, York U.; Bachelor of Fine Arts, U. of Ottawa; Bachelor of Arts & Architecture, Carleton U. where she also completed post graduate studies in sociology of culture and history. She is a St. Lawrence College Premiers Award Nominee for Creative Arts.

 
     
 

Exposiciones

International exhibitions for 2008 include, The Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC) and Museum of American Erotic Art (MaReA), Bogotá, Colombia (May, Jun), and Vizivarosi Gallery, Budapest Hungary (Jun). In Ottawa, the new Art & Architecture Gallery features her photo-based prints from the Golden Pond series (May), and Galerie Calligrammes features her watercolour paintings from the Trees Interrupted installation series (Jun).
